Day Twenty-Eight: July 31, 2010

Hey!

Yesterday was my last day of classes-- it was very much bittersweet. I've had an awesome time here and it's really sad to leave this gorgeous city and all the new friends I've made. But at the same time, I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't missing home.

Today, on our last full day in Cambridge we did some exciting thing. Oh, my dad arrived safely today, so no worries there.

My mommy and I went into to King's College and did a little tour of the campus there. Check it out:

This is the line that we stood in. Eek!

Ain't she pretty?

Later on, we did a red bus tour. Here are some of the pretty and exciting things that we saw along the way:

Daddy!

THEN, we went to go see Shakespeare's "Love's Labour's Lost" in the Downing College Gardens. It was awesome:

Even Will enjoyed it.

There was a big crowd.

Tomorrow, we're going to the market and we're going punting, then we're hopping on a train to Croatia!

Day Twenty-Three: July 26, 2010

Cheers!

I didn't do anything today but go to class, catch up on some serious sleep, and now I'm in for the night to do some homework that I need to get done before Wednesday when my family gets here. Because I have no new and exciting photos from today, I'm posting some more from this weekend that didn't make it up yesterday:

The train on which we spent 4 and a half hours each way to and from Edinburgh.

A heart built into the courtyard where they used to do public hangings.
You're supposed to spit on it for good luck and it's considered bad luck if you walk on it.
It's also the only spot in Scotland that you won't get fined for spitting.

A dam that separates the two separate sections of the Loch Ness.

What we call the "bathroom" at home, is referred to as the "toilet."
This sign made me giggle.

A sandwich from my new favorite supermarket, Marks & Spencer.
They sell tons of food ready to eat--and they're all awesome.

Sweet taxi cab that took us to and from the Edinburgh train station.

The castle right outside our hostel!

Whiskey-drinking girls!

Our awesome/crazy tour guide.

Hope you all enjoyed more Edinburgh pictures. Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with some new stuff!
