Day Five: July 8, 2010

Hey guys, I've got lots of pictures to show you today, so get ready!

This is a picture of the lawn in the middle of the campus where I'm staying where I'm NOT allowed to lay on the grass and read a book. :(

Pretty hydrangeas on campus.

Corpus Christi College across the street from Cambridge.

Corpus Christi again.

A super pretty building that I see walking walking to campus. It makes me think of Madeline: "In an old house in Paris [err, Cambridge] all covered in vines lived twelve little girls in two straight lines."

The Fitzwilliams Art Museum (or something like that) that I'm going to visit this weekend.

After classes today, I went on an adventure around the city and these are some of the fun things that I saw:

(I ate hazelnut ice cream at the cutest little ice cream shop that I'd ever seen called "Chocolate Chocolate")

(I stopped by the tourist bureau for some brochures for things to do this weekend)

(I stumbled upon the most fantastic little flea market thing and bought these darling earrings)

The Cambridge program organized a Jazz concert on one of their other satellite campuses for us to enjoy. It was hosted in this beautiful garden and we sat on the ground and wandered around looking at flowers and drinking cider and other wonderfulness. Enjoy the photos:

(My friend Courtney)

(Here we are again!)

(I don't know what is housed in here, but it's pretty and it was stuck in the middle of the garden)

(This was a crowd of students that were there for the International Summer Program [like me!] and Cambridge students who are working on their PhD)

Finalmente, after the Jazz show me and some of the other girls went to the pub on campus:

(This is what the pub looks like)

(Cider!!)

That's all I've got for today. I hope you all enjoy them. I'm going to Canterbury on Saturday, so there will be tons of photos then too.

P.S.
I can't figure out why blogger is underlining weird things. They aren't links or anything--just blogger being stupid.
