Day Fifteen: July 18, 2010

Hey--

Today I had every intention of waking up early and getting on the big obnoxious tourist red bus. HOWEVER, I was up until three in the morning talking to my mother and Ryan on skype that I ended up sleeping in until 1 in the afternoon.

In lieu of the big red bus, I woke up and had lunch at The Bath House--our favorite pub. I had a Mexican burger with guacamole and sour cream and salsa and it was WONDERFUL. Then I strolled over to the Tourist Bureau to find out that the last red bus tour left at 4, which means that I'd only have an hour and a half to use it, which isn't worth it. I might just wait until my mommy and daddy and brother get here to do it with them. So then, I went to the market in the town square (yes, again...) and I bought myself a little present:

(It's getting lots of stamps this summer, so I thought it needed a home of its own)

Aside from that, I just had dinner (mushroom and ricotta appetizer, yum!) and Skyped with Miss Emily Grant for almost two hours (which was wonderful!). I'm trying to get some of my writing (or at least outlining) done tonight, too. Before next weekend, I need to write a 1,500 word essay on Don Quixote. Wish me luck!

Additional exciting news:
Next weekend Courtney and I are heading to Edinburgh to visit Miss Veronica Horta--and she's got an AWESOME itinerary planned for us while we're there. We're gonna go searching for the Loch Ness Monster!

Tomorrow I'm going to try and FINALLY make it to the stinkin' Fitzwilliam museum.
