Day Ten: July 13, 2010

Bienvenidos!

Today was a gloomy day in Cambridge--overcast and rainy. The locals say that this is how it always is and the nice weather we've been enjoying was just a fluke:

So, confession: I didn't make it to the Fitzwilliam Museum like I had wanted to. But I made it to the Cambridge Zoology Museum instead, and it was pretty cool. It wasn't so much a museum as a big room with dead things in it. Still cool, though.

I decided that taxidermy creatures really creep me out.

This is a hippopotamus head. It's GIGANTIC.

They also had a Darwin exhibit going on. A bunch of his famous finches were there.

Then, after dinner, they had a Ceilidh where they taught us a bunch of traditional Gaelic dances:
