Day One: July 4, 2010

I've done some serious traveling the last couple of hours:

-1 1/2 hour flight to Charlotte

-6 hour layover in Charlotte (add mojitos and Paraguay v. Spain)

-7 1/2 hour flight to London

-1 1/2 wait for the bus

-4 1/2 hour bus ride to Cambridge

-20 minute walk to St. Catharine's College.

But alas! I'm here now. And it's GORGEOUS.

I've got myself a cute little dorm room all to myself with a killer view of one of the smaller courtyards. Check out the view:

Anyway, I'm off to pee (up a flight of stairs to the "toilet") then off to the campus pub for some cider.

Dinner number one:

-Mackeral Pate with toast

-Chicken wrapped in bacon stuffed with some weird meat paste

-Red wine-soaked pear with ice cream

Lesson: I ate ice cream and red wine for dinner.
