Day Sixteen: July 19, 2010

Hallå--

Today was another quick day without lots of exciting things, but a few photos for you.

Courtney and Hanna and I went to this fun little Italian place for lunch. A little tangent:

-Restaurant service in England leaves something to be desired--at least for my American taste. They don't bother coming around and checking up on you like we're used to in the States. I haven't been to a restaurant yet where I didn't have to flag down my server for a water refill. I might be spoiled, but it's miserable.

Anyway, I had cannelloni with spinach and ricotta and it was lovely:

Afterward, we went to Chocolate Chocolate (again) and got ice cream! YUM:

Today we were good and actually went to our Optional Evening Plenary Lectures. Tonight was Interpreting Shakespeare and Shelley. It was average.

Additionally, today we finalized our plans for this weekend. We're getting into Edinburgh to see Miss Veronica Horta on Friday night around midnight. We've got a tour of the Loch Ness and surrounding area (plus whiskey-tasting tour!) on Saturday morning then a ghost tour of the city Saturday night. Then a free tour of the city starting on the Royal Mile. It's going to be an awesome weekend. Tomorrow Courtney and I are heading to the train station to buy our train tickets (5 hour train ride! ahh!).

It's gonna be a good weekend.

And no--I did not make it to the Fitzwilliam. It's looking like I've been MEANING to go for over a week now. I will make it there some time before I leave this country.
